Brijesh Chinai

With an overarching vision for contributing to nation building and celebrating its culture, Brijesh Chinai's interests span the diverse worlds of business, education, healthcare, agriculture, design and automobiles. He strongly believes that the way forward for our great nation lies in building strong institutions with thoughtful leadership. He has a deep respect for history, innovation and craftsmanship. An architect by training, Brijesh approaches every initiative with a long-term and sustainable perspective, believing that meaningful enterprises should create lasting value for people, communities and future generations.

As a fourth-generation member of the Chinai family with over 150 years of entrepreneurial history, Brijesh comes from a legacy rooted in enterprise, public service and institution-building. The Chinai family played an active role in India's freedom movement and later contributed to nation building through business, public life and institutions, including the Indian Merchants' Chamber (IMC) and FICCI. He serves on the board of the century-old Chinai Hospital in Ahmedabad, an institution founded by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He is also on the board of the National Institute for Media Communication and Journalism (NIMCJ), Ahmedabad, reflecting his continued commitment to strengthening institutions that create enduring value for society.

With a keen interest in conservation and the preservation of historic places and collections, Brijesh remains actively involved in initiatives that celebrate India's cultural, architectural and automotive legacy. His work and areas of impact extend across real estate solutions, higher education, healthcare, agriculture and philanthropy.

Together with his wife, Chamundeshwari Bhogilal, Brijesh also carries forward the vision of his father-in-law, the late Pranlal Bhogilal, an industrialist, philanthropist and art collector whose passion for vintage and classic automobiles and preservation laid the foundation for Dastan Autoworld, the world-renowned auto collection.
